Man Arrested In Stolen Vehicle
A Windsor man is facing multiple charges after he took off from police in a stolen vehicle.
Police say that the white Chrysler 200 was reported stolen from the 600 block of Vimy Avenue around 6am on Friday.
At approximately 8:15am, police were called to the area of Glidden Avenue and Wyandotte Street East for report a vehicle driving erratically.
Police found the vehicle on Wyandotte Street East at Strabane Avenue and were able to obtain a detailed description of the suspect driver.
The suspect then fled the area driving the stolen vehicle in a dangerous manner.
Concerned for the safety of the public, officers did not pursue the vehicle.
On a number of occasions, officers spotted the stolen vehicle, however, due to the dangerous manner in which the suspect was previously seen operating the vehicle, officers did not pursue the vehicle.
At approximately 1pm, an officer observed a male matching the suspect description exit a business in the area of Moy Avenue and Wyandotte Street East.
The male was subsequently arrested without incident.
The stolen vehicle was recovered in a nearby alley.
Kyle Quinn, a 21 year old male from Windsor, is charged with theft of a motor vehicle, possession of stolen property over $5000, two counts of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop for police.
