Arrests Made In Murder Investigation

Two people have been arrested and charged in connection to a homicide in the 300 block of University Avenue East.

Police say that they located an adult male who was confirmed to be deceased around 4:10am Saturday. The deceased body displayed obvious signs of trauma.

The victim has been identified as a 37-year-old male from Windsor.

Two individuals have been arrested in relation to the investigation. One was arrested on Saturday, September 29th at approximately 2pm in the 700 block of Goyeau Street without incident.

The second party was also arrested on Saturday, September 29 at approximately 7:30pm in the 400 block of Wyandotte Street East without incident.

Police have charged 28-year-old Lamar Day and 25-year-old Raheem Washington both from Windsor with first degree murder and forcible confinement.

Washington also faces a  number of charges related to breaching of prior court imposed conditions

The Major Crimes Branch continues to actively investigate this case.
