On Thursday June 7TH, 2018, shortly after 12pm, officers with the Provincial Offender Parole Enforcement (R.O.P.E.) Squad located and arrested Benjamin Carter at a residence in the 500 block of Wellington Avenue without incident.


Windsor Police have issued a warrant for Windsor man after a woman was stabbed in Downtown Windsor.

It happened around 9:30pm Tuesday evening in front of the CIBC building on Ouellette Avenue.

The woman was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The suspect had fled the scene on foot before police arrived.

Investigators have determined that a lone male suspect was believed responsible for the stabbing. It was further determined that the suspect and the victim were known to one another.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Benjamin Carter, a 21-year-old male from Windsor, of no fixed address.

Carter is described as a male black, 6 feet in height, weighing approximately 210 pounds, brown eyes, with a black puffy afro hairstyle. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweater, a red shirt underneath, blue jeans and white and red running shoes.

He is facing charges of attempt murder, assault with a weapon, possession of a dangerous weapon and two counts of breach probation.

No weapon has been recovered.

Benjamin Carter is to be considered armed and dangerous. Do not approach him. If located call 911.
