An Amherstburg Police officer has been charged after an accident last week.

It happened in the morning on April 25th on County Road 9 near South Side Road.

Police say that the officer was attempting a U-turn to stop a southbound speeding vehicle when he pulled in front of another northbound vehicle.

The emergency lights were activated.

The officer has been charged with “turn not in safety”.
