UPDATED: Serious Crash Kills One In Amherstburg

One person was killed after a two vehicle crash in Amherstburg.
Police say it happened around 7:50am on September 28, 2017 at the intersection of Howard Avenue (Essex County Road 9) and Alma Street.
The collision occurred between a 2014 black Honda Civic that was eastbound on Alma Street and a 2013 black Mazda 3 that was northbound on Howard Avenue.
The driver of the Mazda 3, a 58-year-old female from Harrow was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Honda Civic suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to hospital.
The roads have now been re-opened.
The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
