Charges have been laid after a crash on the 401 Wednesday morning.

OPP say it happened around 9:30 at the Bloomfield Road eastbound off ramp.

Investigation indicated that an eastbound tractor-trailer, which was exiting off Highway 401, had lost control and rolled into the ditch. The driver was treated, at the scene, for minor injuries.

Emergency crews attend and the east Bloomfield off ramp will be closed for approximately six hours cleanup crews.

As a result, the male driver, Gerald Howes, 61-years-old of Chatham has been charged with careless driving.
