Man Charged After Hitting His Dog With A Metal Object

Windsor Police have charged a Windsor man after a reported case of animal cruelty.

Police say that on Wednesday, November 30th, 2016 they were called to a residence in the 300 block of Cameron Avenue after someone reported that an owner of a dog was observed assaulting the dog.

Police spoke to the owner of the dog and the complainant.  The complainant told police that he watched a male in his backyard yelling and striking his dog with a metal object.

The dog appeared to have sustained minor injuries and was being taken to a veterinarian for assessment.

Brian Robinet-Davey, a 25-year-old male from Windsor is charged with causing unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to an animal.
