OPP have arrested and charged an area pharmacist and another man in relation to the illegal sale of narcotics.
Police say that on December 17th, 2016 pharmacist Russell Foster, age 74 of Lakeshore and a 48 year old Leamington man were arrested on Talbot Street East in Leamington.
Foster is charged with trafficking in a schedule 1 substance, and trafficking in a schedule 4 substance.
Police say their investigation is ongoing.
“The illegal sale, distribution and unlawful use of drugs remain prevalent in our communities, as does the vigilance by our members of this unlawful activity. This recent arrest further underscores the gravity of the situation and the challenges we face in keeping our communities safe. We will hold those accountable who continue to supply those elements of society with illicit drugs and equally, those users who feed their addictions through criminal acts,” said Glenn Miller, OPP Detachment Commander.
