Erratic Driving Complaint Leads To Drunk Driving Arrest In Lakeshore

Around 9pm on November 24th, 2016 OPP were called to an erratic driving complaint in the area of Essex County Road 22 in Emeryville.

A blue Dodge minivan was observed weaving on the roadway and witnessed to have struck a pole on County Road 22 but continuing eastbound without stopping.

The vehicle was located by police in the Puce area a short time later. The driver exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested.

Rodney Swan, age 41 of Lakeshore has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, drive motor vehicle over 80 milligrams of alcohol and failing to comply with conditions of an undertaking.

Swan will appear in a Windsor court on December 16th, 2016 to answer to the charges.

Swan’s driver’s licence has been suspended and his vehicle has been impounded for seven days.
