A 32-year-old Amherstburg man is facing several charges after an incident in the town.

Police say that around 5:15pm on Thursday November 17th, 2016 they were called to the area of Murray Street and King Street for a disturbance.

Upon arrival the victim, a 30-year-old Amherstburg man, advised Police that he was assaulted and cut with a knife.

The investigation revealed that the 32-year-old Amherstburg man confronted the victim and assaulted the victim with a knife causing a minor injury to his abdomen. The victim was also threatened by the man.

The 32-year-old Amherstburg man has been arrested and charged with assault with a weapon, utter death threats, and carrying a concealed weapon.
