Police credit an alert Windsorite for helping bust a break and enter suspect.

They say that around 11am on Saturday November 26th, 2016 they were called to the 2600 block of Turner Road after a male was observed acting suspiciously and knocking on numerous doors of houses in the area.

Officers arrived and observed the male getting into a cab and subsequently stopped the vehicle.

Through the investigation officers located tools believed to be used in break and enters and other stolen items (various currency, jewelry, purse) and they placed him under arrest without incident.

One of the items had a name and address of the owner. Officers attended the nearby address and found that it had been broken into and the rooms were ransacked and rummaged through.

Donald Jenkinson, a 34-year-old male from Windsor is charged with break and enter, possession of break and enter tools and possession of stolen property.
