UPDATED: Man Passes Away After Vehicle Leaves Roadway And Hits Mexican Consulate

One person was sent to hospital, and later passed away after his truck hit the Mexican Consulate in Leamington.

OPP say that a black Dodge pickup truck was travelling westbound on Essex County Road 33 around 5:20pm Sunday when it left the roadway and travelled through a bean field before striking the rear wall of the building in the 300 block of Highway 77.

The lone male driver of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital with life threatening injuries.

OPP say that 84 year old Ronald Graham of Leamington has since passed away.

There were no one inside the Consulate at the time of the crash.

The cause of the crash is undetermined at this time and the investigation is continuing.
