Windsor Police have made a drug bust.
Police say that on Thursday September 15th, 2016 the Drugs and Guns Unit were active in a drug trafficking investigation in the city of Windsor.
The investigation centred around a male suspect who was allegedly dealing cocaine. At approximately 4pm, officers from DIGS located the male standing beside his vehicle in a parking lot located in the east end of Windsor. Officers from the Emergency Service Unit quickly apprehended the suspect and he was placed under arrest. Officers searched the suspect and seized $595 in cash and a cellular phone.
Officers subsequently executed a search warrant at a residence located in the east end of Windsor. Officers located and seized 55.2 grams of cocaine worth $5,520.
A 39-year-old male from Windsor is charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking. He was released on a Promise to Appear with a future court date.
