Six People Arrested On Drunk Driving Charges This Weekend In Essex County

OPP in Essex County encountered seven people allegedly driving drunk in Essex County over the weekend and the Essex County OPP Detachment Commander is sounding the alarm.
“The OPP is disappointed in the continuing number of drinking and driving occurrences on Essex County roadways and will continue to aggressively enforce these offences,” said OPP Inspector Glenn Miller. “These criminal actions by drivers continue to threaten the safety of all citizens and you need to ask yourself why you would want to make a decision that will negatively impact you and others for the rest of your life.”
A total of six impaired arrests and one three day licence suspension were processed over the weekend in OPP-policed communities in Essex County.
The first incident happened August 12 at approximately 9:20pm. Leamington OPP members were dispatched to a two vehicle motor vehicle collision at the intersection of Highway 3 and Morse Road. Police say a black Jeep failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a black Audi, resulting in minor injuries to the driver of the Audi.
Jessica McKeen, age 25 of Leamington has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mg blood alcohol content.
Next, at approximately 10:30pm Leamington OPP members received a complaint of a grey Dodge swerving on Erie Street. Officers located the vehicle in the parking lot of the A&W restaurant on Erie Street south.
Diedrich Wall, age 45 of Leamington has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mg blood alcohol content.
On August 13th at approximately 3:30am Kingsville OPP members stopped a silver Ford on Highway 3 at Marsh Road.
Loeub Hoeung, age 39 of Windsor has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mg blood alcohol content.
Then at approximately 2:42pm, Lakeshore OPP officers received a complaint of a possible impaired driver travelling eastbound on Notre Dame Street, in the Town of Belle River. Officers stopped the blue GMC pickup truck on Myers Road, south of Essex County Road 42 in Lakeshore.
Debra Munroe, age 54 of Leamington has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mg blood alcohol content.
Also on August 13th at approximately 6:00pm, Lakeshore OPP officers responded to a single motor vehicle collision at the intersection of St. Simon St. and Blake St in the Town of Belle River. A white Ford had struck a curb while failing to properly negotiate a right hand turn. A 25 year old Tecumseh man was issued a roadside screening device test, resulting in a 3 day administrative drivers licence suspension.
And then at approximately 10:05pm Leamington OPP members responded to a possible impaired driver who had just left the Circle K Convenience Store on Seacliff Drive West in the Municipality of Leamington in a black GMC pickup truck. The vehicle was located minutes later on Erie Street South.
Allison Inghelbrecht, age 25 of Wheatley was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceeding 80 mg blood alcohol content.
Lastly, on August 14th at approximately 2:10am Leamington OPP members stopped a red Chevrolet on Seacliff Drive West in Leamington.
Cara Flaming, age 37 of Leamington, was charged with exceeding 80 mg blood alcohol content.
