Impaired Driver Charged After Hitting OPP Vehicle

A Tecumseh woman has been charged after hitting an OPP vehicle.
OPP say that around 11:30am on August 25th, 2016, they were called to a traffic complaint on Lesperance Road near County Road 22 after a witnesses reported a vehicle was being driven in an erratic manner.
While patrolling the area, police located the vehicle stopped in the intersection of Lesperance Road and County Road 22. As they were attempting to conduct a traffic stop, the driver accelerated causing their vehicle to collide with the rear of the OPP vehicle.
The vehicle was stopped and police noted several signs that the female driver was impaired by drug.
The driver was placed under arrest for impaired driving and was transported to the Tecumseh OPP Detachment where she was evaluated by a qualified Drug Recognition Expert (DRE). The driver refused to comply with the demands made to her by the DRE.
As a result, the female driver, Annie Mocko 60-years-old of Tecumseh was charged with adult driving while ability impaired by drug and adult evaluation demand not complied with.
She is required to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Windsor on September 1st, 2016 to answer to the charges.
