Police Make Arrest After Break And Enter And Assault

At approximately 6:45am, Tuesday, Windsor Police were dispatched to a business located in the 3200 block of Walker Road for a male that gained entry and assault in progress.
Officers arrived and were flagged down by two people just outside the business who were directing officers inside. Once inside officers observed a male holding down the 33 year old suspect and he stated that the suspect assault him with a piece of wood and the employee of the business. Officers took control of the suspect and subsequently placed him under arrest.
Investigation revealed that the suspect allegedly entered the business and smashed the front windows with a piece of wood. He went back outside and charged at a witness who went into his vehicle. The suspect struck the vehicle with the wood and then ran after an employee who went inside the business. The suspect smashed the front door and then attacked another employee, who had just arrived, with the piece of wood. This male was able to get the piece of wood away but the suspect ran back into the business where he assaulted the initial employee again. The male went inside to help by knocking the suspect to the ground with the piece of wood and held the suspect down until police arrived and arrested the suspect. The suspect sustained some injuries and was transported to hospital for treatment.
A 33 year old male from Windsor will be charged with Break and enter x2, Assault with a weapon, Assault and Mischief x2.
