Police Arrest Suspects After Stolen Property Found Online

Two people are facing several charges after police alleged they tried to sell stolen property online.
Police say that on Tuesday July 12th, 2016 around 8:30am, they were called to a residence where they were told by the complainant that his vehicle was broken into overnight and a tackle box and contents were stolen. The complainant looked online and found the property for sale on Windsor Buy and Sell. The complainant said he then called the seller and spoke to a female and a male who advised to attend a motel room to make the purchase. The complainant then called the police.
Officers attended the motel room located in the 2000 block of Division and watched a male enter the room. Through investigation officers were able to identify the suspect and learned he had an outstanding warrant and was in the motel room with a female who was also allegedly involved.
Police made attempts but were unable to make contact with the suspect. Police got a warrant and attended the motel room. Officers entered the motel room and placed the suspects under arrest. They located the stolen tackle box and contents along with some other property that is believed to be stolen.
Darrell McNaughton, a 36-year-old male from Windsor is charged with theft under and possession of stolen property under.
Jennifer Littlejohns, a 28-year-old female from Windsor is charged with theft under and possession of stolen property under.
