Man Arrested After Firearm Stolen From Canadian Tire

A Windsor man has been charged after an investigation into stolen firearms from Canadian Tire.

Police say that on Thursday July 14th, 2010, officers obtained a search warrant for a residence in the 5400 block of Reginald Street.

Police entered the home around 2pm and located a rifle, airsoft rifle and a replica handgun. Investigation revealed that the rifle was one of the stolen firearms from the break and enter at the Canadian Tire on Walker Road. Both of the firearms that were reported stolen have now been recovered.

The male suspect returned home while officers were on scene and he was placed under arrest.

Paul David a 47-year-old male from Windsor is charged with possession of firearm without a licence and possession of a stolen firearm.
