Kingsville Man Charged After Threats

A Kingsville man is facing a number of charges after an incident in Essex on May 27th, 2016.

OPP say that an Essex male was threatened over the phone by another area male. Officers located the accused male nearby the victim’s residence and stopped him driving a grey Dodge.

The male exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.

As a result of the threats investigation, officers attended the accused’s residence and seized a shotgun and three pellet guns.

Brian McLinden, age 40 of Kingsville, was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol content, utter threats, unauthorized possession of a firearm, and careless storage of a firearm.

He will appear in a Windsor court on June 29th, 2016 to answer to the charges.
