The Town of Essex has hired Tracey Pillon-Abbs as the new Chief Administrative Officer.
Pillon-Abbs brings a breadth of experience gained through various progressive roles in Southwestern Ontario, most recently holding a senior director role with the Municipality of Leamington where she was charged with overseeing Building and Fire Services, Planning, Recreation, and Culture. Pillon-Abbs has also worked in economic development and brings more than 20 years of experience to the Town of Essex.
“Council is very happy to welcome Tracey Pillon-Abbs on board,” says Mayor Ron McDermott. “We will certainly benefit from her strategic outlook and dedication to the Town of Essex.”
Pillon-Abbs replaces Russ Phillips who left the position in April to return to his home province of Manitoba.
Pillon-Abbs’ appointment is effective Monday, July 4th.
