Police Make Drug And Handgun Bust

A Windsor man is facing several charges after the Windsor Police Drug and Gun Enforcement Unit obtained a search warrant for a residence located in the 900 block of Pelissier Street on February 3rd.
They say that a suspect associated to the address was observed driving in a vehicle near the residence. At approximately 4pm members of the Emergency Service Unit assisted DIGS officers with stopping the vehicle in the area of Pelissier Street and Ellis Street West and a male was placed under arrest.
Officers searched the male and seized 30.3 grams of methamphetamine and $215 in cash.
At approximately 6:30pm members of DIGS, ESU, and K-9 executed the search warrant at the residence. Officers seized a quantity of drugs and two pellet guns which were found in the residence.
Items seized included 30.3 grams of Methamphetamine, $215 Cash, two black pellet handguns, 55 Lisdexamfetamine capsules, five Hydromorphone tablets, nine Nabilone capsules, and three functioning digital scales.
The male was on probation with conditions to abstain from the possession any illegal substances from previous convictions. He was also on probation with conditions to abstain from owning, possessing or carrying any weapon for previous convictions.
Jasson Vanoorschot, a 35-year-old male from Windsor is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance for the purposes of trafficking, two counts of possession of a controlled substance, two count of breach of probation and 12 counts of possession of firearm while prohibited.
