Windsor’s Downtown Mission and the Windsor community took part in the Coldest Night of the year walk-a-thon, Canada’s national walk for homelessness.
The Downtown Mission had a fundraising goal of $40,000.
Groups, families, and individuals who donated could walk 2, 5 or 10 kilometers throughout the area and were also able to enter a raffle to win a wide array of prizes.
Funds raised go to the homeless, hungry and hurting. Windsor’s walk-a-thon featured 252 walkers, 51 teams, and over 50 volunteers.
