A Lakeshore man is charged after taking out several street signs.

Tecumseh OPP say that they received a call around 9:50pm on December 4th, about a vehicle on Riverside Drive East in Tecumseh near Brighton Road driving on the sidewalk.

The vehicle had struck several no parking signs and came to rest after striking a large wooden post housing a pedestrian stop sign.

The driver of the vehicle exited the vehicle and began walking southbound on Brighton Road where police located him.

Police say that he exhibited signs of impairment and was arrested at the scene.

Rodney Demars, age 38 of Lakeshore was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle and exceed 80 milligrams blood alcohol content.

He will appear in a Windsor court at a later date to answer to the charges.
