Hôtel-Dieu Grace To Share Quality Improvement Initiatives At National Forum

On Tuesday, December 8th, three teams of Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare staff will be sharing quality improvement initiatives at the 27th Annual Institute for Healthcare Improvement National Forum.

The National Forum is billed as the premier conference for people committed to the mission of improving healthcare, and draws nearly 6,000 healthcare professionals from around the world in person and thousands more via satellite broadcast.

“I personally attended the IHI forum in the past – and learned from the sessions, so it gives me great pride to have our HDGH staff share their stories of challenges and successes. Hopefully someone attending will learn something from us”. explained Janice Kaffer, President and CEO.

The three HDGH quality improvement poster boards will highlight include:

• Responding to High Usage of Emergency Services, presented by Robert Moroz, Integrated Director Outpatient and Community Services, HDGH and Canadian Mental health Association
• A Change in Culture to Improve Patient Safety, presented by Kendra Truant, Inpatient Rehab Manager and Tazdia Burnett, Clinical Practice Manager
• Integrating Organizational Cultures Post Merger or Post Acquisition, presented by Terra Cadeau, Director Strategic Planning, PMO & New Business Development
