A LaSalle man is facing many charges after a lengthy Windsor Police investigation into him allegedly entering into multiple agreements to install solar panels with several complainants.
Police say that the complainants approached them individually stating that they entered into agreements with the suspect to build a large solar system under the Ontario Feed in Tariff program and attaching them to the power grid.
Investigators say that they were satisfied that the suspect demonstrated a consistent pattern of defrauding individuals by not beginning the project or partially completing the projects and never getting them to the point of operability and then removing himself.
So far there are several victims resulting in over a 1 million dollars in total losses. Officers also allegedly found receipts and other documents that were determined to be false.
Michael Levesque, a 46-year-old male from Lasalle is currently charged with 44 fraud related offences.
