Woman Charged After Roommate Found Dead

A Windsor woman is charged after the death of her roommate.

Police say that just before noon Monday they were called to a multi unit residence in the 200 block of Pratt Place.

When they arrived police met EMS who indicated that a male inside an apartment unit was deceased. Police spoke with the complainant outside the apartment, who advised that she was a roommate of the deceased and had found him unresponsive prior to calling 911.

Through investigation, police have learned that the roommate injected the 51-year-old victim with an unknown drug prior to going to bed.

Police executed a search warrant at the home and seized several syringes from inside the residence.

On August 4th, 2015 police arrested the roommate, 48-year-old Dana St.Louis. She is charged with manslaughter and criminal negligence causing death.

A post-mortem examination in London today. Toxicological samples were taken and will be submitted to the Centre of Forensic Sciences in Toronto.
