Police Arrest Male In Alleged Sexual Assault Investigation

Windsor Police have made an arrest in an alleged sexual assault investigation.

Police say that around 6am Monday they were called to a park in the 770 block of Riverside Drive East. When they arrived they spoke to the 22-year-old female victim who was sitting on the park bench.

Their investigation revealed that the victim was walking in the area of the 600 block of University Avenue East at approximately midnight when she was approached by a male suspect riding an e-bike. The victim alleges that she was sexual assaulted during her interaction with the male.

On Wednesday July 1, 2015 at approximately 11am Windsor Police located a male party matching the description in the area of Wyandotte Street East and Parent Avenue. The male suspect was placed under arrest after a brief struggle without incident. He was also found to be in possession of a quantity of drugs and cash.

Jahton Blair, a 34-year-old male from Windsor is charged with two counts of sexual assault, possession of crack cocaine for trafficking, possession of cocaine for trafficking, possession of ecstasy for trafficking, possession of marihuana for trafficking.
