Mothers Against Drunk Driving hosted their national school assembly program today at Catholic Central High School.

Grade 11 and 12 students gathered in the school’s gymnasium for the presentation, that focuses on the dangers of impaired driving.

The presentation included a short fictional film that depicts true events caused by impaired driving.  The video presentation ends with interviews from three victims who have lost family members to impaired driving.

The students were asked to consider four key points from the presentation. The key points mentioned were to never drive impaired, never take a ride with somebody who has been drinking or using drugs, plan ahead and to make a difference by helping other people make good choices.

According to MADD, an average of four Canadians are killed daily due to impaired driving.
