OPP have made an arrest into the murder investigation of Nancy Quick.

On Wednesday, OPP arrested 48-year-old Scott Quick, her estranged husband and charged him with first degree murder.

The investigation into the murder began in 2006 when 40-year-old Nancy Quick was struck down in broad day light by a hit and run driver as while walking to her vehicle in Tecumseh, Ontario.

The stolen vehicle was recovered a short time later on IC Roy Drive where witnesses saw a male exiting the vehicle.

Quick was rushed to Hotel Dieu Hospital in Windsor with critical injuries and later transferred to Receiving Hospital in Detroit, Michigan where she died 5 days later.

“This case has no happy ending” said Detective Inspector David Hillman.  “Two children lost their mother to a tragic and violent set of circumstances in 2006 and theses same two children are now faced with the fact that their father is the person charged.”
