Two people were rushed to hospital after a shooting near Parent and Ottawa, early Sunday.
Police were dispatched to a shots fired call in the 1200 block of Parent Avenue around 3:15am after they received numerous calls reporting the sounds of gunshots in the area.
While heading into the area officers located a man standing on the corner of Giles Boulevard and Parent Avenue. The male appeared to be dazed and had a gunshot wound to his leg.
Around the same time, an officer working at the hospital reported another man arriving at the hospital with a gunshot wound.
Police say the two men were at a party at the residence on Parent when an argument ensued between a male suspect and others at the party. Police say it quickly turned physical.
At some point, police say the suspect pulled out a handgun and fired shots at the victims and left. Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect. A search warrant was later obtained and executed on the residence and a number of items were seized for further analysis.
Both victims were treated and released from hospital.
Officers had the area blocked off until around 9am while detectives investigated.
Police say the injuries are not life threatening.
