The Ford City Market is looking for a coordinator.

The job is a part time temporary position from mid April to late September, with an average of 14 to 16 hour per week.   The pay is $15 per hour.

The market coordinator will be responsible for the management of the market, will act as a liaison between Ford City BIA and the community organizations, market vendors and visitors to the market, will oversee and assists with participant screening, training, matching, support, supervision, recognition and closure activities for vendors, visitors and volunteers.

They will also secure all vendor consent forms and market applications; collects vendor fees, and plan and promote market day events, entertainment and cooking demos and ensures that vendors, parents and children are aware of event particulars.

They must hold a bachelor’s degree with emphasis in marketing, business or project management and/or have experience working/volunteering within community based organizations; marketing, retail, or event planning businesses.  Must have exceptionally strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills, and demonstrated creativity, flexibility and comfort in working with diverse populations. Able to work from home and on-site.

You must also be able to use computers to e-mail, update spreadsheets, use social media, keep records and upload photos from a camera to a website.
