Police have charged a driver after two incidents on the 401 in a 4-hour period.

On Friday, just before 9pm, OPP stopped a Honda on Highway 401 near Comber for exceeding the 100km/h speed limit. Police charged the 25-year-old driver with speeding.

Later that evening, just after 1am, the same driver and vehicle were involved in a single vehicle collision on Highway 401 eastbound, near Orford Road. The collision occurred when the vehicle left the roadway and came to rest in the south ditch. As a result, the driver was charged with careless driving.
