Tunnel Incident: Weapon Charges For Two Michigan Men

Two Michigan men have been charged in relation to the incident at the tunnel that occurred Tuesday evening.

Kyle Martens, 29, from Clarkston Michigan is charged with Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and Importing a Prohibited Weapon into Canada

Ernest Edwards, 18, from Alba Michigan is charged with 3 counts of Possession of a Prohibited Weapon and 3 counts of Importing a Prohibited Weapon into Canada.

Both are expected to appear in court this afternoon.

Police say the charges are in relation to 2 butterfly knives and a pair of brass knuckles that were found in the vehicle.

Police say no charges are expected in relation to the smoke bomb as it is not classified as an explosive, but rather as a commercial grade smoke bomb /firework.
