Memorial of Hope on the UWindsor campus

This Thursday at 4pm, the UWindsor community is invited to remember fourteen young women who lost their lives 25 years ago on December 6th, 1989.

On this day, known now as the “Montreal Massacre”, an enraged gunman, roamed the corridors of Montreal’s École Polytechnique and killed 14 women, 12 of whom were engineering students.

The memorial will take place in Room 1101, in the Ed Lumley Centre for Engineering Innovation (CEI) Building.
