Tonight marks the last City Council that Mayor Eddie Francis will chair.
In addition it will be the last time sitting around the council table for Ron Jones, Fulvio Valentinis, Alan Halberstadt and Al Maghnieh.
Outgoing councillor Drew Dilkens will move up to the Mayor’s seat on December 1st.
This Thursday is the first time the new councilors will all meet at a mandatory orientation session held at Willistead Manor. This meeting will be open to the public and runs from 1pm to 4:30pm.
The new council gets sworn in on December 1st and the first official meeting in Council Chambers is December 15th.
