Hit And Run Leaves Cyclist With Life Threatening Injuries

Windsor Police are investigating a hit and run involving a cyclist that occurred at 12:39am Sunday in front of 711 Pelissier Street.

Police say that a witnesses told them that the suspect vehicle was travelling east on Elliott Street and turned to travel northbound onto Pelissier. The male cyclist was travelling north on Pelissier when he was struck from behind.

The suspect vehicle then fled the scene northbound on Pelissier towards Wyandotte Street West.

The suspect vehicle is described as a medium-sized black SUV, possibly a Lexus, with tinted windows. The driver of the suspect vehicle was described as a male, in his 20’s or 30’s, with a stocky build, a thin mustache and dark hair.

At the time of the collision the cyclist was wearing a brown leather jacket, striped shirt, blue jeans and red running shoes. The cyclist was transported to hospital by ambulance with life threatening injuries. ​
