A Windsor man survived a motorcycle crash in LaSalle thanks to his quality jacket and a proper helmet.

Police, firefighters and EMS were called to the area of County Road 8, just West of Howard, around 10:22am this morning.

The 65-year-old driver of the motorcycle had lost control, skidded his red Honda Shadow motorcycle down the roadway, and came to a rest on the shoulder.

“Fortunately, he was wearing a proper helmet and a quality motorcycle jacket he recently received as a gift,” said Sergeant Duncan Davies.

The driver was taken to hospital with minor injuries to his arm.
