The suspect allegedly responsible for a total of five Subway restaurant robberies has been arrested in Toronto.

The suspect had recently robbed three locations in Windsor.

Police say the first happened at 2:45pm at the Subway located 204 Lauzon Road.  The second took place a few hours later at the Subway at 4551 Tecumseh Road East around 5:30pm.  The third took place at 9pm at the Subway located at 11500 Tecumseh Road East.

Police say that in each robbery a lone male suspect entered the restaurant and demanded money from the till. No weapon was seen. Investigators believe the same male was involved in each robbery.

The suspect was described as a male, white, 20 to 30 years old, 5’9″, with short (2mm buzz cut) almost shaved brown hair, a scruffy beard and blue eyes.  He has  tattoos on both forearms, and had a thin build.

In the robbery at 204 Lauzon Road the suspect was wearing large dark sunglasses with light coloured arms, black t-shirt underneath a grey and black vertical stripe button down shirt and dark coloured jeans.

In the robberies on Tecumseh Road East the suspect was wearing a sleeveless t-shirt, basketball shorts, white running shoes and black socks. The suspect was also wearing a baseball cap in the robbery at 4551 Tecumseh Road East.

There have been several other Subway robberies in the past few weeks. On July 28th, a Subway on Ouellette was robbed, on July 31st a Subway located at 7800 Tecumseh was hit, and on August 5th, a suspect and took a coin box and cash from the cash register at the location at Windsor Regional Hospital.

Police will be travelling to Toronto to pick up the suspect. He is not from Windsor.
