A man who was run over by a car in Downtown Windsor last Sunday has died and the woman allegedly responsible is facing first degree murder charges.
The altercation took place just after 3am Sunday morning, between a male and a female in the area of Wyandotte and Ouellette.
The altercation ended and police say the male left the area on foot with a friend of his, while the female then walked to her parked car.
Police said the two males were walking southbound through the parking lot located on the west side of Pelissier, south of Wyandotte, when the female entered her car.
Witnesses told police that she drove directly at both males at a high rate of speed.
Both males were struck by the vehicle.
The car stopped and police were on the scene within a minute.
Both males were taken to hospital, and one male was treated for non life threatening injuries and released.
On Monday 24-year-old Deanna Anne Gamblin was charged with two counts of attempted murder.
The other male suffered severe head trauma and was in serious condition.
He died Thursday from his injuries.
On Friday police charged Gamblin with one count of first degree murder.
The investigation is on-going.
