Essex Man Charged After Stolen Property Recovered In Chatham

Chatham-Kent OPP have arrested an Essex man after a traffic stop on the 401 on Wednesday.

Police stopped a Chevrolet Monte Carlo for a traffic violation while it was travelling westbound near Communication Road.

Officers discovered that the stopped vehicle had been reported stolen. Further investigation led to the recovery of stolen licence plates and the driver was also found to be in possession of break in instruments.

The driver, 30-year-old Sinisa Zivkovic, was charged with three counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, possession of break in instruments, careless driving and two counts of driving while under suspension.
