6-year-old Sydney Meloche from Cottam is the 100,000th person to walk into the Adventure Bay water park in Downtown Windsor.
Sydney and her family were surprised by a group of City of Windsor employees just after 11am Thursday and were awarded with a prize package that included 4 free passes and 4 food vouchers.
Sydney’s mom said she had no idea the city planned to award the 100,000th visitor this morning and mentioned that their whole family loves Adventure Bay.
The water park opened in January and features a wave pool, several water slides, a “Flow Rider”, a splash zone, a lazy river, an activity pool and more. Admission is separate from the adjoining Family Aquatic Centre’s 50m pool.
The cost for weekend entry is $20 for children/adults 4 feet and taller and $15 for children/adults under 4 feet tall.
Monday to Sunday, from 4pm to Close, admission for children/adults 4 feet and taller is $15, and $12 for those 4 feet and under.
