Police have a suspect in custody following Saturday’s shooting of two houses and a car on Belleview Avenue.

Police located a vehicle believed to be involved in the shooting, a 2004 silver Mazda, in the 1200 block of Argyle Road. The vehicle was found to have fresh damage consistent with bullet holes along the driver’s side of the vehicle.

An 18-year-old man who was sitting in the driver’s seat of the vehicle was taken into police custody.

Police plan to charge the suspect with forcible confinement that is allegedly in relation to having a 16-year-old victim in the vehicle earlier in the day and allegedly attempting to coerce a confession out of him about the shooting and to arrange payment in relation to the damages sustained to the vehicle.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Windsor Police Major Crime Branch at 519-255-6700 ext. 4830 or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 519-258-8477 (TIPS).
