A Windsor man faces drunk driving charges after police say he crashed his car into a restaurant on Walker Road.

Police, EMS and firefighters responded to 911 Walker Road around 4am this morning and found a grey Cadillac that had hit the building.

Police say the car was travelling southbound on Walker Road when it left the roadway and struck the building.

The crash caused damage to both the building and the car.

EMS treated a 26-year-old passenger and the driver was taken to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The 25-year-old driver faces charges of impaired driving, dangerous driving, exceeding 80 milligrams of blood alcohol content, and failure to stop.
