Police Have Found The Body Of Missing Halifax Woman

Investigators with the HRP/RCMP Integrated Major Crime Unit, with the assistance of RCMP in New Brunswick say that they have located the body of Loretta Saunders.

At approximately 4:30 pm investigators located Loretta’s body in the median off Route 2 of the Trans-Canada Highway, west of Salisbury, New Brunswick.

On February 17th, 26-year-old Saunders was reported missing to police by her family. She was last seen in the Cowie Hill Road area in Halifax on the morning of February 13.

On February 18th, her car was located in Harrow.

25-year-old Blake Leggette and 28-year-old Victoria Henneberry are currently incarcerated in Halifax, each facing a charge of theft of motor vehicle.

Investigators have identified suspects in this homicide and they are not looking for anyone else. This homicide investigation is on-going and charges are anticipated.
