Arrest Made Following South Walkerville Break In

Quick police response times and alert neighbours helped to catch an alleged break and enter suspect inside a home in South Walkerville, Monday afternoon.
Police were called around 1:40pm to the 1900 block of Somme.
A neighbour witnessed a suspicious man break the window to a home and immediately called the police.
Officers were on scene within 3 minutes and caught the suspect inside the residence. Police say he was arrested without incident.
Over $4000 in property including laptop computers, watches, liquor and jewelry were loaded in plastic bags and a duffel bag. Homeowners told police that the property was all theirs except for the duffel bag that was used.
Police have charged 38-year-old Douglas Cook with break and enter, possession of break in instrument and possession of stolen property.
