Bossova was the matriarch of a cat colony living out in the county, and although she has lived outside, she was cared for and socialized by neighbours living in the area. She is highly affectionate and loving once she has warmed up and trusts you, although as with many cats this can take some time. While she lived outside, Bossova raised and cared for many kittens, one of whom recently made headlines and captured the hearts of Windsor-Essex County with her story of resilience and overcoming the odds. You may remember hearing about a cat named TwoPaws, who was born with severe deformities to her back legs. Early on in her life, TwoPaws learned to adapt by walking in handstands on her two front paws, and lived outdoors like this for two years with her mother Bossova by her side. Many other mother cats may have rejected a kitten with such deformities, but Bossova chose to raise and nurture TwoPaws. Without Bossova, TwoPaws would not have been able to survive the harsh realities of outdoor life, making her a touching example of the power of compassion. When Bossova came into the shelter back in September, she was pregnant and had her final litter of kittens soon after arrival. All of her kittens, including TwoPaws, have been adopted, and now this loving mom is anxiously awaiting her chance to find an indoor forever home. She is so deserving of a family that will provide her with love, care, and compassion and would be forever grateful to be home for the holidays.
