Land & Sea Fest To Support New Journalism Scholarship

A new Journalism Scholarship initiative has been launched between Biz X Magazine and St. Clair College.

Each year a Windsor/Essex high school graduate will attend the St. Clair College two-year journalism program on full scholarship, which includes tuition and books via the new Scholarship

In the first year, one student will be awarded a full scholarship. Since this a two-year program, a second student will be awarded a scholarship for a total of two full-time students each year thereafter.

The scholarship cycle is almost a year-long process for high school students and begins in their senior year. Applications are accepted by the college from October through mid December, the student is notified and receives his/her award at a formal presentation in late February and the student begins classes in September.   This  is open only to Windsor/Essex high school graduates meeting the criteria and the final recipients are chosen by St. Clair College.

This will be presented to a successful student at the St. Clair College Windsor Scholarships & Bursaries Night held each year in February at St. Clair College Centre for the Arts. The first student will be chosen in February of 2015.

To help support this endeavour Biz X Magazine has created a new annual event called “The Land & Sea Fest” which takes place Saturday January 18th  2014 at St. Clair Centre for the Arts.
