400 block of Erie Street West in Google Maps

Windsor Police are looking for a suspect after a convenience store in the 400 block of Erie Street West was robbed Monday around noon.

Police say the suspect entered the store and proceeded to the rear of the business. He then approached the counter walking up one of the aisles. As he walked up he produced a steak knife from his hoodie pocket and demanded money. The suspect fled the store with a small amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a Middle Eastern male approximately 20 – 25 years of age, 6’3″ tall, scruffy facial hair, with a large build. He was wearing blue baggy sweat pants, a black and green hoodie with diamond patterns, and tan coloured work boots. He was last seen walking Westbound on Erie Street West and then Northbound on Bruce Avenue. He brandished a steak knife with a 4″ blade and a wooden handle.

Police were able to view security video at the scene and were able to identify the suspect.

An arrest warrant is being prepared for the arrest of the accused for Robbery.
