Two Cases Of Drunk Driving In Chatham

Police in Chatham-Kent laid charges for drunk driving in two separate cases on Saturday.
The first occurred just before 5:30pm, when police were called to an accident on Grand Avenue west near Campus Parkway.
Police say that the 38-year-old female driver of one of the vehicles displayed obvious signs of impairment and was arrested. The woman, who is from from Thorold, Ontario is facing charges of impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with more than .80 milligrams of alcohol in her blood.
Police say that approximate damage to both vehicles is $30,000. There were no injuries.
The second took place just after 11pm, when police pulled over a pickup truck on Chatham Street in Blenheim.
Police say that the driver of that vehicle displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.
A 57-year-old Kingsville man is facing charges of impaired driving and operating a motor vehicle with more than .80 milligrams of alcohol in his blood.
