Chatham-Kent Woman Killed In Crash

UPDATE: The driver, and lone occupant of the fatal Motor Vehicle Collision on Town Line Road in Chatham-Kent in the early morning hours of Sunday July 21st has been identified as Marlene Juttens, a resident, and also well known in the community as an employee of the Chatham-Kent Fire Department of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent.
The Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Management Unit is continuing their investigation.
A 55-year-old Chatham-Kent woman passed away after an accident early this morning.
Police say that around 12:15am they were called after a citizen discovered a vehicle submerged in a water filled ditch near Town Line Road.
Police, Chatham-Kent Fire Department and EMS all responded.
The lone female occupant of the vehicle, from Chatham-Kent was transported to Public General Hospital, and was pronounced deceased.
Police say that their investigation is continuing, and ask anyone who has information regarding this incident is asked to contact Constable Todd Trahan of the Chatham-Kent Police Traffic Management Unit at 519-355-1092.
